By default (None), the visitor is not invoked on a parent surrogate, typically a child collection, but on each item of the parent surrogate. IncludeParentSurrogates additionally invokes the visitor on the parent surrogate itself, and ExcludeIndirectChildren skips the items of parent surrogates.
